CW: When did you decide to go into the business you are in?
“After graduating from Clemson University, I moved to the Lowcountry to serve as a local educator. Teaching was my career for 18 years before transitioning into real estate in 2017. I felt real estate was a natural fit for me because I still get to serve, teach and help people on a daily basis.”
CW: How do you find your passion?
“I truly find it rewarding to help others. Each day provides a new challenge and a new opportunity to help people move from one chapter of their lives to the next. I strive to work hard for my family, and I want to instill in my own children that hard work and a strong work ethic will pay off. That mindset keeps me going.”
CW: What habits do you implement in day-to-day life that you attribute to success?
“I wake up every morning excited to go to work. I am just a driven person, always striving to do better and be better daily. If I know I have something that needs to be completed, I will work on it until the task is finished. Since our market is ever changing, I stay on top of our current market trends as well as continue my own education to stay at the top of my game. I’m constantly learning and adapting. Because of my persistence in continuing to grow and help others, I’ve earned the Realtor of Distinction title in 2020 and Coldwell Banker’s International Diamond Society 2020.”
CW: Tell us about how you grew up and what or who shaped you into the woman you are today.
“I grew up in the small town of North Augusta, South Carolina. I am the youngest of five children. My parents absolutely shaped me into the woman I am today. My dad’s relentless work ethic and my mom’s devotion to family life was instilled in me from a very young age.”
CW: If you could have dinner with anyone (alive or passed away), who would it be and why?
“If I could have dinner with anyone it would be my late brother, Rick. He was taken from us too soon from early onset Alzheimer’s in 2016. I would love to just sit and tell him all the wonderful things his children and grandchildren have accomplished and just enjoy his presence. It’s so important to slow down and appreciate times with the ones we love before time passes us by.”
CW: Tell us about your family.
“I have resided in the Lowcountry for over 22 years. I’m married to an Army vet who has owned a local remodeling company for over 25 years. We have two boys — one is 19 and one is 12.”
