In 2010, celebrity facialist Toska Husted opened Euro Spa in Mount Pleasant. Today, Christine Ingram is the proud owner, and she continues to bring the exclusive French skincare line, Biologique Recherche, and the Remodeling Face Machine to the Lowcountry.
“Our natural facelift treatments combine the virtues of electric currents to tone and sculpt facial muscles, which will improve muscle memory and revitalize the epidermis,” explained Ingram. “The results are prolonged and reinforced with regular sessions. Our facials have some of the most sought after age-defying treatments in the country.”
Ingram graduated from Georgia College & State University with a bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and Political Science, as well as a certificate in Comparative Law and Legal Systems from the University of Valladolid in Spain. Her education centered on the legal field, but she soon discovered her true passion.
“Entrepreneurship and figuring out how to keep all the moving parts of a business working in the most efficient, productive and financially beneficial way excites me,” said Ingram, who shares this passion with her husband, also a business owner. “When the opportunity came along to own a business that empowers women and makes them feel beautiful in a natural way, I seized it.”
Ingram and Toska Euro Spa (now Spa Azure) believe that the most beautiful women are confident women, and confidence is a result of self-care. Men are always welcome as well, and those who have become clients see the same youthful transformation of their skin. Teenagers have had success in clearing problematic acne as well.
“We are known for performing proper facials as our aestheticians are extensively and routinely trained by Biologique Recherche to provide our clients with the most innovative treatments possible,” detailed Ingram. “We are the only spa in the area to carry Biologique Recherche products, which are the most-advanced skin-care products on the market.”
The most popular treatment is the Brightening and Lifting Bespoke Facial, which combines remodeling (micro-current lifting) with soin lissant (manual lifting) to recondition or fruit acid peel to exfoliate the skin, resulting in a firm, brightened complexion.
Toska Euro Spa and Mount Pleasant are definitely where Ingram belongs. She and her husband met in Mount Pleasant 15 years ago, after both moved to the Lowcountry from Georgia, and now live here with their son.
“If I’m not at the spa, I am probably boating with my family. Time on the water is time well spent, of course, with high protection sun care and a very large hat,” she said.
