CW: When did you decide to go into the business you are in?
“After years of moving around the country with the military and remodeling our own backyards, my husband and I learned a lot about landscaping and developed a real love for outdoor living. After the military, the desire to own a business was burning within us, and, once we welcomed our second child in 2015, we decided it was time to go for it.”
CW: How do you find your passion?
“My grandfather always told me, ‘If you find a job doing what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.’ I believe that with every fiber of my being. When my husband and I started this business, I knew my passion was going to be the creative side of things.”
CW: Tell us about how you grew up and what or who shaped you into the woman you are today.
“I was raised by two of the most loving people I’ve ever known: my grandparents. My grandfather was a true man of honor. He was a retired Navy Chief turned police officer with a heart of pure gold. My grandmother was a librarian and basically a saint. I learned early in life the value of hard work and integrity. They taught me perseverance, to be a strong woman, to be determined and driven, to show compassion for others and to live by my word.”
CW: Tell us about your family.
“My husband, Steve, and I have been married for 15 years. We have two beautiful children, Clayton (13) and Hadley (6). We made Charleston our home in 2011, and I couldn’t imagine a better place to raise a family.”
