Holly Wagner of Movement Mortgage in Mount Pleasant is motivated to serve the community, and not just by providing mortgages. Movement Mortgage is truly a movement, one that Wagner is proud to be part of.

A portion of the company’s profits help build public charter schools in the Charleston area. They also have a “Love Works” fund, created and maintained by employee contributions to financially support their colleagues during times of crisis.
Wagner began her career in the business of loan processing in 2000. She’s seen plenty of ups and downs in the industry, especially since the crash of 2008.
“Folks in our industry have been blessed over the past two years in that the pandemic didn’t have a negative impact on our business,” she said, then added, “Patience and persistence are required in this market.”
When searching for a mortgage lender, it is important to remember rates are cyclical. They will come back down again. Wagner’s best advice for a homebuyer? “Make sure you have an experienced team of professionals to help navigate this challenging market.”
