The dynamic duo — Kylie Bissell and Chase Martin — are the owners and faces of Ride & Roll Cycling Studio, located at 1989 Maybank Highway. This cycle house is all about community, with no stress, strain, struggle or intimidation.
“As you walk in, we want you to feel like it’s home away from home. We are here to support, encourage, motivate and lift our community — and just be a safe space for anybody and everybody that steps foot inside our little studio,” the Martin shared.
Underneath the stress of their careers, both ladies decided wellness, through spin cycle platform, would release the burdens. Martin left the world of country music, while Bissell left her job as a trainer at SeaWorld. The pair knew they still wanted to help and impact their community — but how?
Channeling their ownstress reliever, Ride & Roll was born. The studio was founded on the principals of combining community support with physical activity. It doesn’t have screens or metrics — the goal is to focus on yourself and how you feel, while riding together with your “teammates”, as opposed to competing against one another. Bissell said it best, “Community is a place for people to experience human interaction. A simple high five and ‘hey, how are you doing’ goes a long way. Take a ride at this premier women-owned studio today. When you feel stressed, just start spinning.
