CW: How do you find your passion? “I have always loved the idea of caring for your own health and the health of others. I wanted to show that you can do this while also enjoying your life and not limiting yourself. That is why I wanted to make my cafe mostly focused around foods and drinks that I like but are also healthier than most options out there.” CW: What habits do you implement in day-to-day life that you attribute to success? “In order to be successful, I believe you have to work on yourself so that you can always work to be better.” CW: Tell us about your family. “I grew up in ex-Yugoslavia with my parents and two older brothers. Sadly, my country was hit with a war in the late ‘90s and no longer exists. Toward the end of the war, I was very fortunate to move to St. Louis, Missouri along with the rest of my family. There, I built a life for myself and met my husband. I had my three amazing kids there, and my husband and I were successful in the businesses we ran. But we just realized that we needed change, especially since the kids were getting older. We had come to South Carolina many times for vacations and fell in love, so we knew that it would be the perfect place for us to settle down. I had always dreamed of owning something like Sena Cafe and was very fortunate enough to do it when we moved. I did leave most of my family behind when I moved, but because of their support, I have been able to achieve all that I have done in my life.”
