“I have an excellent staff with our own delivery crews,” said Sharon Campbell, president and owner of Backyard Retreats. “We have qualified sales people who are great and dedicated. Many have been with me for a long time, and I can’t say enough about them. My daughter, Darla Miller, joined the business when she was in college, and she developed a passion for the furniture. She is my right hand.”

Backyard Retreats only offers quality outdoor furniture. “Our environment in the Lowcountry is hard,” explained Campbell. “You don’t want to invest in disposable furniture because it won’t last. I travel regularly to our manufacturers in Chicago and North Carolina so that I know we only offer the best.”

Exterior design is their passion in helping clients figure out how best to utilize their outdoor space. “We can go to the location, take measurements and analyze space, and we will then provide a design plan for their outdoor furniture. We have customers in the entire tri-county area,” said Miller, executive manager. “We get to know our customers, listen to their wants and needs and eventually many of our clients become our friends.”
