CW: When did you decide to go into the business you are in?
“My husband and I have always wanted to build a business together. It was important that we create a company that mirrored our values in customer service. When we moved to Mount Pleasant, we found ourselves as new pool owners. Jeremy’s summer employment during his college years was building pools, so the pool industry seemed a natural fit.”
CW: What inspires you?
“Our employees, consistently. We have one employee, our resident animal lifeguard, who saves every creature he comes across in a pool (frogs, snakes…you name it). Another gets to work early just so he can take joy in the sunrise over the water.”
CW: Tell us about how you grew up and what or who shaped you into the woman you are today.
“My family is my driving force. I am very lucky to have had a strong start with parents that encouraged, supported and pushed me to be the best I could be. I am happy to say that this continues today. My father, Jesse, is a business partner. My mother, Linda, works in the business and her interactions with our staff and customers is a bright spot in the office.”
CW: Tell us about your family.
“It’s my favorite topic of conversation! Jeremy and I have two children, Jessica (15) and Jake (12). Jessica is a year-round swimmer and a 9th grade creative writing major at Charleston County School of the Arts. Jake is a 6th grader at Laing Middle School, and an athlete who enjoys baseball, swimming and football. We have two English Setters and two cats.”
