When did you decide to go into the business?
We both share a strong entrepreneurial spirit and desire to help others look and feel their best. While at a conference in 2019, we shared with each other that we both had a desire to start injecting. As Advanced Practice Nurses, we would launch Stick Fix and be a part of the proud women-owned community here in Charleston.
Tell us about your mentors.
Dr. Kingslea Dukes has been an incredible friend, mentor and resource for us. We weren’t sure what to expect of the seemingly competitive world of aesthetics, but Kingslea exemplified the mindset of community over competition. She has been our biggest supporter and provides guidance. We are grateful for her and hope to continue her legacy.
What challenges did you overcome to get to where you are?
Launching a business during Covid included many challenges such as supply issues, additional hands-on training and resources that were no longer available — as well as keeping our clients safe while we injected. It’s a very talented market, and getting our name out was hard as the “new girls in town.” Referrals are the biggest compliment we ever receive, and we are beyond grateful to our clients.
