Being a mom can be one of the most glorious and isolating times in life. Fit4Mom Charleston may be your answer if you have been struggling to find community for the journey of motherhood and fitness. Co-owners Caitlin Guevara and Stevee Martin know the power of community and the impact that the Fit4Mom group can have.
This duo met in 2018 when both of their babies were tiny, and they were attending a stroller fitness class. They decided in 2021, that they would co-own the business together and give back to the group that had given so much to them.
The main purpose of Fit4Mom is to provide women and mothers of all stages a support system and village as they navigate motherhood. Co-owner Martin said, “When I joined, I was only 4 weeks post-partum. I didn’t go for the workout; I went for the community. I had no friends with kids, and I wanted to put myself out there.” While fitness is a big part of the program, they also host community events to help women connect and build relationships. They support the larger mom community by giving back to a variety of non-profit Charleston organizations. Come check them out on May 18 at Memorial Waterfront Park for their Mamapolooza.
