Wellness Coordinator Katharine Hassell of BeWell@Home by Lutheran Homes of South Carolina talks with host Erin Kienzle about their offerings which allow seniors access to a host of Lutheran Homes of South Carolina’s retirement facilities as well as their amenities, enrichment programs and the social aspects offered by those communities. Then at the end of the day they go back home where they want to continue living.
Hassell explains that in the area of Senior Care you’ll commonly see Retirement Communities, seniors living with family or seniors who stay at home and do the best that they can. What you don’t see a lot of, that’s becoming more available across the country is a place for seniors that want to live at home, but need some assistance to do it successfully and meet their needs. That’s where BeWell@Home comes in, currently offering 5 levels of membership.
