Listen as Jennifer Wilkinson, Co-Owner of Bubbles Gift Shoppe talks to host Erin Kienzle about running Bubbles Gift Shoppe & Bubbles Candle Co. along with her daughter Mary. Bubbles Gift Shoppe started out as a teen style store and gift shop located off of Hwy 41 at the Dunes West back gate in the Lowes Food shopping center. Jennifer talks about how the shop got its name and how they got the idea for the type of store they wanted to open and what they wanted to offer the community in the store. So what sections are in the store? The store has a section for locals, baby, wedding, birthday, home goods and now a seasonal Winter Wonderland where Santa will be in his chair on December 17th. As far as stocking the store they decided to drop the teen clothing and go fully into gifts and baby items. Early on before opening the shop Jennifer and Mary went out and met local artisans in the area by going to different pop up shops, and then later Jennifer described how Mary is so involved in shopping for the store’s products along with her friends who also help out in that respect and more.
