CW: When did you decide to go into the business you are in?
“I have always worked in the business field and always had a strong desire to help people. That, coupled with my love of Charleston and real estate, made becoming a Realtor an easy decision.”
CW: How do you find your passion?
“The people, the clients — that is what makes the job so rewarding. Helping folks find a home is so incredibly important and exciting at the same time.”
CW: What habits do you implement in day-to-day life that you attribute to success?
“Setting a daily task list, prioritizing goals and objectives and, most importantly, thanking God for allowing me to serve people in such a rewarding way.”
CW: How have the past year’s challenges changed you?
“Going through these challenges made me realize just how important time is. Time with friends, time with family and just time for yourself and your mental health, making sure you are taken care of.”
CW: Tell us about how you grew up and what or who shaped you into the woman you are today.
“I grew up in a military family; my dad was in the Marines and then the Army. Having served in two tours in Vietnam, one in each branch, my father has always been my hero. Ever since I was a little girl, he has pushed me to achieve and has always been my biggest fan. Because of him, I have always fought hard and put forth all my effort.”
CW: Who influences you in your life currently?
“My family — my husband and my children. Being with them, listening to their stories and having them support my career are all very important to me and who I am.”
CW: Tell us about your family.
“Franklin is my husband — he is my rock. I know that no matter what, he has my back. Brianna, my oldest daughter, just graduated from the University of South Carolina in May. She is currently enrolled in real estate class to obtain her real estate license soon. Caroline, my middle daughter, is a rising senior at the University of South Carolina and is in the Chi Omega sorority there. Maddie, my youngest daughter, is a rising freshman in high school and keeps us busy with all of her soccer activities. My parents also recently moved here from Columbia, and my brother and his family live here as well.”
CW: Give us some success tips for someone just starting out in your line of work.
